River, thank you for this piece. I especially related to #8 and found a possible overlap in your experience and mine that I briefly wrote about here and it may offer some insight as you ponder about what to share next. https://icingonthecake.substack.com/p/the-poison-path-and-the-contracts
> There are some other things I’ve experienced with Ayurveda that are honestly weirder than I want to talk publicly about right now
If you wanted some camaraderie around this flavor of weird experience, it comes to mind that this is not unlike a type of experience you hear a lot about in Ayahuasca land.
I think my main question about radiance is like, how much of it is because Jess is a (freakishly?) good practioner, and how much of it is teachable/trainable/scalable?
I feel like we're gonna find out, but my guess is a mix that -- no disrespect to jess's being an amazing practitioner -- probably tends more towards the side being trainable
What a nice read, thank you, River! A healthy amount of skepticism and honesty is a great combination.
To answer the question: Yes, this is 100% trainable. The issue is that it is extremely complex, requiring memorization of very large volumes of information in order to calculate answers in real time. Traditionally, the best of the best were recruited to learn and practice Ayurveda. Unfortunately, the last few centuries have sent these brilliant minds to other professions - Western medicine, engineering, physics, etc - and what we see in practice today is the result. The skills I acquired in India were all thanks to amazing teachers who are way more talented, plus some good old-fashioned hard work.
So cool and SO happy to hear you’re feeling so much better! Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing, River!!
I’m starting to work with Traditional Chinese Medicine, and similar things go on there.
